Boys & Girls Club of Tahlequah provides a wide variety of innovative programs designed to empower youth to excel in school, become good citizens, and lead healthy, productive lives.
Our nationally recognized programs are based in five Core Program Areas that closely align with the developmental needs of all young people:

BGCA programs are designed to encourage Club members to realize a wide variety of positive outcomes, a strategy for developing the “whole child.” In recent years, the Boys & Girls Club Movement has focused additional efforts on helping children and teens achieve in our three priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.
T.R.A.I.L.
On the T.R.A.I.L. to Diabetes Prevention is a diabetes prevention program for Native youth that provides them with a comprehensive understanding of healthy lifestyles and promotes resiliency.

POWER HOUR
Power Hour: Making Minutes Count helps Club members ages 6-18 achieve academic success by providing homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and encouraging members to become self-directed learners. Power Hour is a great opportunity for kids and teens to get their homework completed in a quiet place with support from trained, caring staff at Boys & Girls Club of Tahlequah.

SMART MOVES
SMART Moves (Skills Mastery and Resilience Training) is a nationally acclaimed comprehensive prevention and education program

CAREER LAUNCH
CareerLaunch is a job-readiness and career preparation program that provides fun and interactive activities to Club members ages 13 to 18, and encourages them to assess their skills and interests, explore careers, make sound educational decisions and prepare to join our nation’s work force.

TRIPLE PLAY
Triple Play: A Game Plan for the Mind, Body and Soul is a comprehensive health and wellness program that strives to improve the overall health of members by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition, and helping them develop healthy relationships.

Character & Leadership
Programs in Character & Leadership empower youth to support and influence their Club and community, sustain meaningful relationships with others, develop a positive self-image and good character, participate in the democratic process, and respect their own and others’ cultural identities.

Health & Lifeskills
Programs in the Health & Lifeskills core area develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults

Education & Career
Programs in the Education & Career core area enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, set goals, explore careers, prepare for employment and embrace technology to achieve success in a career.
